HIGH VIEW APARTMENTS

 

In 2016, the Alberni Low Energy Housing Society purchased and renovated High View Apartments with generous support from B.C. Housing. Because of the age of the building, renovations were carried out yielding significant improvements in the living environment and the level of energy efficiency.

 

High View Apartments provide suites for low-income tenants, helping to meet the overwhelming demand for affordable housing.

 

Sustainability features of High View include a highly efficient boiler system providing heat and hot water, community gardens, and close proximity to public transit. Grocery stores and a range of services are within walking distance.
